Detox Beet Smoothie Recipe
Smoothies and juices are one of my favorite ways to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my day, and over the years my husband and I have tried out a lot of different recipes! (See our collection of 101+ healthy recipes we tried here!)
Today I’m sharing the results of years of trial and error so you can enjoy one of our favoriteperfect healthy smoothie recipe too (without all the duds it took along the way to figure it out!)
I realize it’s quite the claim to call anything “perfect.” However, this smoothie is not only super good-for-you, but it tastes fantastic AND looks gorgeous too!

Green smoothies might be all the rage, but it can be very tricky to get a green color that actually looks appetizing. Also, as a mom of two young girls (including a toddler in the picky eating phase), a hot pink drink is much more likely to be a hit and a way to help them get some important nutrients. I’m happy to report that this recipe is kid-tested and approved!

My detox beet smoothie recipe:
- 1 small pineapple
- 1 banana
- 2 carrots
- 5-6 strawberries
- 1 medium beet
- 1/2 cup coconut water(regularwater works just fine too)

To achieve this rich pink color, I stuck to fruits and veggies in warm colors: red, yellow, and orange. I picked things that I love to eat by themselves — there are no “mystery items” that I try to sneak in, because you can always taste them!

How to make this berry beet smoothie:
Always wash produce, then cut it into smaller chunks that aremore manageable for the blender. Add all ingredients to blender and put the lid on tightly. (I hold onto the lid while blending, just in case.)
TIP: Freeze the banana beforehand to keep your smoothie cool.
Beginblending on a low speed to rough chop the fruits and veggies. Gradually increasespeed untilsmooth, adding more liquid if necessary.
