    Edible Playdough Recipe with Frosting

The ratio for this edible playdough recipe is one part frosting to one part powdered sugar. You can use either a white frosting, flavored or colored frosting. White frosting will allow you to make your own colors.

    Is Playdough Edible?

In general, most playdough recipes are not edible but may be considered taste-safe or non-toxic.

Note: While this is considered an edible playdough or taste-safe sensory play activity, it’s a whole lot of sugar. I would not encourage kids to eat it as a snack!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup of frosting (flavored creates a nice scent)
    • 1 cup of powdered sugar (cornstarch does work but is not as tasty)
    • Mixing bowl and spoon
    • Food coloring (optional)
    • Playdough accessories
